Description
MEYCO TCC 766 is a liquid high performance activator for wet shotcreting, which causes instant slump loss, low rebound and an accelerating setting when used in combination with the GLENIUM or POLYHEED range of admixtures.
MEYCO TCC 766 can be added at higher dosages and is therefore suitable for wet surfaces. If problems with dripping water are encountered or if large layer thicknesses (>10cm) are required, it is sufficient to increase the dosage of MEYCO TCC 766.
Fields of application
MEYCO TCC 766 is suitable for all applications in wet shotcreting where large layer thicknesses and both early and high final strengths are decisive. MEYCO TCC 766 is specially designed for use with both plain and steel fibre reinforced wet-mix sprayed concrete.
Principal applications are for:
- MEYCO TCC System
- Wet mix spraying
- Tunneling and mining
- Temporary support
- Permanent support
- Final lining
- Slope stabilisation
- Repairs to concrete structures
- Tunnel grouting (back filling)
Features and benefits
- Very large layer thicknesses (20-30cm)
- High final strengths
- Increased bonding
- High durability
- Improved sprayability
- Less rebound
- Increased toughness values thanks to reduced fibre rebound and better fibre orientation
- More rapid work progress
- Improved working environment
- Very low alkali content compared to traditional set accelerators/activators
- Lower dosage compared to traditional set accelerators/activators
Compatibility
MEYCO TCC 766 is compatible with all cements meeting the ASTM and UNI standards. MEYCO TCC 766 can be combined with Delvo Stabiliser.
Packaging
MEYCO TCC 766 is supplied in 272kg drums; containers or in bulk.

Application procedure:
Preparation of substrate:
The substrate must be clean, free from loose particles and only wet to slightly sprinkled. Improved water run-off is more economical by means of draining presealing with cement using a rapid setting agent, dehydrated as far as possible.
Mixing:
MEYCO TCC 766 must be stirred well before use, best achieved by rolling the drums. MEYCO TCC 766 is introduced through a proportioning pump or pressure tank into the compressed air which is added at the nozzle.
Application:
For overhead applications the maximum thickness per layer applied is 6-10 cm.
Consumption:
The dosage of MEYCO TCC 766 generally varies between 2-12% by weight of binder. The required setting time and hence the necessary dosage of MEYCO TCC 766 is determined by the type of substrate. Dosage is also influenced by the temperature of the substrate and of the sprayed material, as well as by the type of cement.
In special cases, other dosages may be recommended according to specific job conditions.
Storage
The storage temperature of MEYCO TCC 766 is between +5°C and +50°C. If stored in tightly closed original containers and under the above conditions, MEYCO TCC 766 has a shelf life of at least 12 months.
Safety precautions
MEYCO TCC 766 is irritant to skin and eyes, wearing of eye and hand proteciton is recommended. If contact occurs, wash thoroughly with water and seek medical advice.
